PLANNING WITH CPB
Welcome to Charlotte's Party Business. Where it's our business to help you find the entertainment you need in the Charlotte area. Whether its a charter boat for up to 70 party peeps, or just a pontoon boat for 14, we can help. Looking for a party bus? We can help you there also. Whatever it takes to make you, the customer, happy. Because customer satisfation is our #1 goal.
Things to condsider before the party starts:
#1: Plan as far in advance as you possibly can. Many boats are booked months in advance, especially during the summer months or on holidays.
#2: Also, do you need transportation for your guest to and/or from the party? Always consider this if alcohol is being consumed.
#3: Be prepared to pay in full in advance of the party.
#4: Expect betwwen 1/2 and 2/3 of your guest to actually make it to the party. Unless it's free with a free bar, then you can count on 90%.
#5: Consider the type of party you are having and match it to the type of boat available. There are house boats and then there are yachts. I would think that a black tie affair would be better suited for a nice yacht type boat. And the house boats would suffice for any event. Plenty of room and a big open deck on top. This covers the majority of charter boats on Lake Norman.
#6: Consider a DJ for entertainment. Most of the Charter Boats have names of people they have worked with in the past and trust. But feel free to use your own if you know of someone. And most have an iPod hook up for your favorite play-list.
#7: Don't forget the food and drinks. Feel free to use your own or check with the owner of the boat for a list of great bartenders and caterers.
- I hope this will help those 1st time Party Planners.
Good Luck!
